Ricardo Leyva - AP Spanish Language & AP Spanish Literature
My name is Ricardo Leyva and I am one of the Spanish teachers at Fallbrook High School where I began teaching in 2001. I was born in Sinaloa, México, and moved to the United States when I was 15 years old. I earned my B.A. in Spanish Literature from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and my teaching credential from California State University, San Marcos (CSUSM).
I have been fortunate enough to teach multiple levels of Spanish in my tenure at FHS, Spanish 2, Spanish 3, Spanish Language Development (SLD - Spanish for native speakers) 1 and 2, as well as my current courses Advanced Placement (AP) Spanish Language and Culture, and AP Spanish Literature and Culture. In addition, I have taught AVID 9th and 10th, and lower-level Math courses.
I enjoy spending time with my students, challenging them, and helping them achieve their goals. My goal for them is to go beyond their expectations and to be successful on the AP Exams. I will always support them and be available when they need me.
